35.2     Purpose

This plan outlines strategies that can be used in all aspects of progressive reform and change

35.3     Objectives

The objectives of this plan include:

35.4    Action: Public and Private Sector Employ Strategies in this TAP and Many More Strategies to Help Refine and Implement the (MGM&USP)

35.4.1 Promoting New Thinking and Doing Holistically. Very little new thinking or ideas exists. People have had ideas for centuries but have not been able to enact the ideas for many reasons. Today the world is much more complicated so before taking any significant action, its ramifications must be understood and taken into account. By planning and working together holistically, we can enact our ideas.

35.4.1.1          The best way to promote and have national and worldwide security, is to implement TAPs #18, 19 and 20 - permanently end all wars, hostilities and conflicts, settle all conflicts and disputes by pacific means, completely disarm, strengthen the United Nations’ ability to enforce international laws and treaties, be humane fair and peaceful, cooperate and collaborate with all other countries and not have any enemies. Develop plans to accomplish this.

35.4.1.2          Use of nuclear weapons or any offensive weapon and the concept of “mutually assured destruction” are illegal under international law and a threat to civilization itself.

35.4.1.3          Punishment and confinement of nonviolent lawbreakers does not work and is counter productive protective and punishment of violent lawbreakers do not work and are unnecessary expenses. Violent offenders must be kept under supervision until they are not a threat to society and criminal justice systems and prisons must be reformed.

35.4.1.4          It only takes one person to correct a sociopath, psychopath, lawbreaker or neurotic and that person has to want to do it.

35.4.1.5          Titles of the three dozen or so action plans are National Policies being advocated, promoted refined and implemented.

35.4.1.6          In his book, The Sane Society, Eric Fromm states: "Change must be a simultaneous change in economic, education, political and cultural spheres. Changes restricted to one sphere are destructive of every change."

For example, when wars are permanently ended and Department of Defense and Military-Industrial-Complex (DOD-MIC) personnel are released, there must be:

Honest, caring, dedicated legislators who will pass the necessary legislation and a similar president who will ensure the laws are faithfully executed

Full employment and jobs at living wages for everyone and for each person as they are released

                     Funds for these jobs

                     Job-training as necessary

                     An educated, understanding public

Enough public servants, reform-minded individuals, and organizations to do the above work simultaneously.

35.4.1.7 These wars, conflicts, occupations, etc. are generating terrorists. It is impossible to defend against determined terrorists. This hurts not helps National Security for which the U. S. is wasting a trillion dollars per year.

35.4.1.8 The Kellogg-Briand Pact of 1928 outlawed all wars and requires that the settlement or solution of all disputes or conflicts of whatever nature or of whatever origin they may be, which may arise among them, shall never be sought except by pacific means. Pacific [peaceful] means of settling disputes or conflicts include diplomacy, direct negotiations via email, Skype, phone, etc., negotiations through a third or multiple parties, the intervention of UN Peacekeepers, injunctions, criminal complaints and tort claims etc..

35.4.1.9 The United States is not authorized to be the policeman-of-the-world. Erich Fromm says that we need, “forms of international co-operation and planning, to forms of world government and to complete disarmament.”

35.4.1.10  We have a rule of law but it is obviously not being enforced and routinely being violated

35.4.2    Grassroots Organizing, Field Building, Engaging and Mobilizing New Voices and Constituencies, Strengthening Capacity of and Collaboration Among Organizations and Individuals Engaged in All Issues

Review the The Nonpartisan, Nonhierarchic, Massive Global Matrix Network (MGMN) of Individuals, Partner Organizations, Issues, Actions, Events with Nine Digit Zip Codes for each, which Define Neighborhood, Community, City, State, and Political District

35.4.3    Scholarship and Research

Review the People’s Global Factual Information and Education Program and Wikipedia

35.4.4    Advanced Communications and Project Management

Develop and Implement an Advanced Project Management and Communications System (TAP #59)

35.4.5    Litigation

35.4.5.1 Litigation alone will not work. We must have negotiations, injunctions, litigation, tort claims, disgorgement, and humane private (not secret) criminal complaints

35.4.5.2 We must hold government officials and private actors accountable for all abuses they commit or allow

35.4.6    Injunctions

35.4.7    Tort Claims

35.4.8    Disgorgements

35.4.9    Humane, private (not secret) criminal complaints

35.4.10  Statement of Demand

35.4.11  Mindfulness

35.4.12  Victim Impact Statement

35.4.13  Vacating as null and void unconstitutional, unjust and/or injurious legislation

35.4.14  Vacating as null and void unconstitutional, unjust and/or injurious court rulings and orders

35.4.15  Policy advocacy

Book review of The Thinker's Way: 8 Steps to a Richer Life by John Chaffee, Oct. 1998

It is never too late to be what you might have been" -- George Eliot

The Thinker's Way is a book for anyone seeking a sense of meaning and purpose in life. John Chaffee's message is that we can all shape our lives into what we want them to be. We can all learn to think critically, live creatively, and choose freely. We can learn to focus in a confusing world of information overload, hyper stimulation, and instant gratification. Changing our thinking changes our relationship to ourselves and others. Thinking critically involves reflecting on the thinking process itself, enabling us to understand our own mind. As our thinking becomes clearer, our actions will become increasingly thoughtful, creative, and effective. Every area of our lives will be transformed, from our problem-solving skills, to our moral universe, to relationships with our family, friends, and coworkers. John Chaffee has written a book that will change the way we see the world, and show how each of us can achieve our full potential at work, in love, in life.
