2.2       Purpose

This document outlines XXX.

2.3      Objectives

The objectives of this plan includes to implement:

2.3.1   SDG Goal 2. End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture

2.3.2   SDG Target 2.1 As rapidly as possible, end hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations, including infants, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round

2.3.3   SDG Target 2.4

As rapidly as practicable, ensure sustainable food production systems and implement resilient agricultural practices that increase productivity and production, that help maintain ecosystems, that strengthen capacity for adaptation to climate change, extreme weather, drought, flooding and other disasters and that progressively improve land and soil quality

2.4      Actions.

2.4.1   Eat mostly plant-based foods and reduce the global consumption of animal products (figure 1c–d), especially ruminant livestock (Ripple et al. 2014). This will improve human health and significantly lower GHG emissions (including methane in the “Short-lived pollutants” step). Moreover, this will free up croplands for growing much-needed human plant food instead of livestock feed, while releasing some grazing land to support natural climate solutions (see “Nature” section).

2.4.2   Utilize cropping practices such as minimum tillage that increase soil carbon are vitally important.

2.4.3   Drastically reduce the enormous amount of food waste around the world.
